House Dogs For The Apartment
One of the main rules of residence in a multi-family home is the use of accommodation by appointment without violating the sanitary norms and interests of other citizens.
Often, domestic animals become the subject of conflict, whose living in an apartment is far from always in accordance with legislative requirements.
What laws do this matter?
It should be noted that questions relating to the residence of animals and their proper maintenance are not sufficiently addressed in Russian legislation, which often leads to conflicts and even litigation.

To date, a bill has been drafted (but not yet approved) on the maintenance of domestic animals, the Responsible Treatment of Animals Act.
Some separate regulations governing housing and animal housing are contained in Housing, Civil and Administrative Law.
The local authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation have the right to approve their legislation on the housing regulations of domestic animals in apartments.
This may be rules, regulations or requirements adopted by a separate executive body that are not contrary to federal law.
What kind of pets do they belong to?
There is no explicit notion of “domestic animals” in the legislation.
What kind of animal can be found in the apartment? A citizen can start both a natural cat or a dog and an exotic animal, a tiger, an alligator, a piton.
There are no direct prohibitions on the possibility of such animals being held in the law, which is essential that their residence in the apartment does not conflict with the rules of the dormitory.
When can an animal count as home?
- It must be registered (a veterinary passport is issued for some animals);
- An animal must be jealous of rabies.;
- In the case of a domestic pet, the necessary preventive measures must be taken (process of blossoms, depriving other hazardous diseases).
In the event of non-compliance, an animal would not be considered domestic, and a liability would be imposed on its owner.
